Biography
She has Bachelor from Universidade de Brasília (Major in Agronomy) (1986), Masters in Agronomy (Soil Science) from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (1995) and Doctorate in Ecology from University of California Davis (2008). Since 1989 has been a researcher at Embrapa (Brazilian Corporation of Agricultural Research). She has started her career in the field of Soils and Agronomy. Since 1995, she has worked in the field of Genetic Resources. Between 2008 and 2013 she concentrated her research on P. lunatus species, integrating morphological, molecular, chemical and eco-geographic evaluations. On 2010 she became the Head-Curator of the Germplasm Curatorship System of Embrapa, which includes 195 collections of plants, animals and microbial resources. On 2014 she left the position of Head-Curator and became Deputy Director of Research and Development in Embrapa Genetic Resources and Biotechnology, Cenargen.
