Biography

He is Masters in Genetics and Plant Breeding, Federal University of Viçosa (1988), doctorate in Biochemistry from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2005) and postdoctoral studies at the Institute de Recherche pour le Development - IRD France. She is Researcher of Embrapa - Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. Works at on farm conservation of germplasm among traditional farmers of the northern state of Minas Gerais. Works also on project funded by FAO: "Use and management of shared (agro) biodiversity by traditional peoples and communities of the semiarid Minas Gerais as a strategy for food security and reducing climate risk."
