Biography

Mr. Miguel Nuno Simões Nunes Ferreira Setas has been the Chief Executive Officer of EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. since January 1, 2014 and serves as its Member of the Executive Board and Investor Relation Officer. Mr. Ferreira Setas has been Member of the Executive Board of Directors at EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A since April 21, 2015. He served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Investor Relations of EDP São Paulo Distribuição de Energia S.A. (alternate name Bandeirante Energia, S.A). Mr. Ferreira Setas served as the Head of Corporate Marketing Office at EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. since 2007. He served as Officer of Distribution and Vice President of Sales & New Business at EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. He served as Vice Managing Director of Distribution at EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. He served as Executive Vice President of Sales and New Business at EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. He joined EDP Group in 2006, as head of the Executive Administration Council President's office. In 2007, he was Administrator of EDP Comercial. He was also a member of EDP Inovação administration, of Portgás and Fundação EDP, where he remains as Administrator. His experience in the energy sector began in 1998 at Gás de Portugal. He was Administrator of Setgás, Executive Administrator of Lisboagás, Marketing Director of Grupo Galp Energia, Administrator of CP – Comboios de Portugal, President of the CP – Lisboa Executive Commission and Administrator of OTLIS – Operadores de Transportes da Região de Lisboa. He started his professional life as constructor at McKinsey & Company. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Investco S.A. and Empresa de Energia Cachoeira Caldeirão S.A. He serves as President of the Board of Director at EDP Espírito Santo Distribuição de Energia S.A. He has been a Vice President of Board of Directors at EDP - Energias do Brasil S.A. since February 4, 2014. He served as a Deputy Chairman of EDP São Paulo Distribuição de Energia S.A. In 1996, Mr. Ferreira Setas received an MBA from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. He holds a BSc. in Physics and a MSc. in Electrical and computing Engineering, both granted by IST (Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon).
