Biography
He holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (1977), a master's degree in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Ceará (1982) and a Ph.D. from Nouveau Doctorat - Joseph Fourier University - Grenoble I (1990). He is currently prof.Titular of the Federal University of Ceará. He has experience in the field of Biochemistry, with emphasis on Proteins and carbohydrates, working mainly on the following topics: Proteins (lectins) and polysaccharides of seaweed and their biological applications.
