Biography
He holds a postdoctoral degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, PhD in Biology (area of ​​concentration: Biomolecular Physics) by the University of São Paulo (USP), Master in Biochemistry and Graduation in Agronomic Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). He is currently Adjunct Professor IV of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of the Federal University of Ceará, and is a member of the Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology. He is also: Vice-coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Biotechnology of Natural Resources of the UFC; Professor accredited of the Graduate Program in Biotechnology of UFC (Sobral Campus); Advisor of the Institutional Program of Scientific Initiation Scholarships (PIBIC-UFC); Tutor of the National League of Academics in Biotechnology (LINABiotec), Pre-IGEM and the AUG-Biotec Junior Company; Member of the Information Council on Biotechnology (CIB).
Research Interest
He has experience in the areas of Biochemistry of Macromolecules and Molecular Biology, coordinating research in the Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology (LabBMol) on the following topics: 1) Isolation, physico-chemical characterization, biological activities and biotechnological applications of proteins (Ribosome-inactivating proteins, lectins, etc.) of plants and microalgae; 2) Processing and biotechnological applications of vegetable and animal carbohydrates; 3) Prospecting of bioactive compounds (proteins and peptides) in microalgae. biological activities and biotechnological applications of proteins (ribosome-inactivating proteins, lectins, etc.) of plants and microalgae.
