Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (Bachelor and Licenciatura) from the Federal University of Ceará, a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the Federal University of Paraíba (1993) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the University of São Paulo (1999). He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Ceará, working in undergraduate and postgraduate studies (master's and doctorate degree in Ecology and Natural Resources). Reviewer of the journal- Brazilian Archives of Biology and Technology (1516-8913), ad hoc consultant City Hall of Vitória (ES). Counselor vice-president of the Regional Council of Biology - 5th. Region (from March 2004 to October 2007 and advisor to the Regional Council of Biology - 5th Region from October 2007 to March 2012). Vice President of the Brazilian Association of Teaching of Biology (SBENBio) in the period 2009-2011. Director of Regional 5, of the Brazilian Association of Teaching Biology (2015-2017). Member of the Board of Education of the Federal Council of Biology since 2015. He has experience in the area of ​​Zoology, Cell Biology and Tissue, with emphasis on Biology and Reproductive Ecology of decapod crustaceans and fish, estuarine and freshwater. He also works in the area of ​​Teaching Sciences and Biology and teacher training. He is the coordinator of the Biology Sub-project, from the Institutional Program for Initiation to Teaching Scholarships (PIBID) / MEC / CAPES, since August 2014, targeting scholarship holders working in secondary schools. Member of the Board of Education of the Federal Council of Biology since 2015.
