Biography

She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Ceará (Bachelor's Degree 1990), a Master's Degree in Plant Biology from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1995) and a Ph.D. in Botany from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (2001) with a degree in Kew Royal Botanic Gardens / England and Field Museum / Chicago - USA. She is currently Associate Professor IV of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC). She works in teaching, research and administration. From March 2002 to December 2009, she was linked to the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, where she was one of the people responsible for preparing the proposal for UFRN's inclusion in the network of the Regional Postgraduate Program in Development and Environment (PRODEMA). of which she was deputy coordinator from August 2004 to August 2007. She was curator of the UFRN Herbarium from April 2002 to January 2009 and is responsible for registering it at the Index Herbariorum and as a Faithful Depositary. From January / 2009 I was redistributed to the UFC, where she was coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Biological Sciences (Licenciatura and Bachelor Degree) from October / 2010 to October / 2012. Since February / 2009 she is as curator of the EAC Herbarium. In the research, she works in the area of ​​Botany and Phytogeography, with emphasis on the following topics: Taxonomy of phanerogams, Floristics, Patterns of distribution of species and Ethnobotany. She is linked to two Postgraduate Programs: Development and Environment (PRODEMA / UFC) and Ecology and Natural Resources, of which I was vice-coordinator (from September 2013 to September 2014). She coordinates the Ceará Flora Project: to know to conserve.
