Biography
He holds a PhD in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1995), a specialization in public health from UFMG (1998) and a specialization in Sanitary Surveillance (2000) from the University of Brasília, a Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UFMG (2001) and a Doctorate in Public Health - Epidemiology, Faculty of Medicine, UFMG (2010). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and a researcher in pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology. Assistant Coordinator of the Collaborating Center of the SUS for Technology Assessment and Excellence in Health (CCATES / UFMG). He held positions of manager and advisor for public health policies both at the National (Ministry of Health) and regional level at the Minas Gerais State Health Department, where he was Superintendent. It participates Committee of the Forum of the Judiciary for health demands promoted by the National Council of Justice. It has published papers and / or carried out in the following areas: Epidemiology, Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics, Medicines Policy and Health Surveillance, Management and Information Systems, Development and Integration of large databases in Health.
