Biography
graduated in Pharmacy / Clinical Analysis at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1989), master's degree in Biological Sciences (Microbiology) from Federal University of Minas Gerais (1993), PhD in Animal Science from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1997), Post- PhD in Molecular Biology from the University of Pittsburgh retrovirus / USA (2001-2002) and post-doctorate in Infectious Diseases of Animals / Virology from the University of Kentucky / USA (2009-2010). He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Researcher at CNPq. It has experience in Virology and Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Retroviruses animals, mainly in the following topics: equine infectious anemia (EIA), bovine leukemia (BLV), bovine immunodeficiency virus (BIV), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV)
