Biography
Adilson José de Assis holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1993), a master's degree (1996) and a doctorate (2001) in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). In 2009 he held his postdoctoral degree at the Technical University of Denmark (Kgs. Lyngby), as a CAPES fellow in the field of Computational Catalysis. He is currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, working in: (1) undergraduate and postgraduate education (master's and doctorate) and (2) research. His areas of interest are: modeling, simulation and optimization of processes (emphasis on Computer Aided Design); computational catalysis; and, use of "free software" in teaching and research in Chemical Engineering.
