Biography
Ana Carolina Gomes Jardim holds a bachelor's degree and a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University Center of Rio Preto, a master's degree and a PhD in Genetics from the Institute of Biosciences, Letters and Exact Sciences of the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP). He has a doctorate in sandwich studies at the University of Leeds in the UK (University of Leeds, UK) in the field of Virology where he developed cell culture research to analyze the replicative cycle of hepatitis C virus (HCV) and treatment with antiviral potentials. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Paulista State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) in collaboration with the University of Leeds, where he obtained experience in Level III Security Laboratory (catIII or NB3). She is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBIM) of the Federal University of Uberlândias (UFU). He has experience in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Microbiology, with emphasis on Virology, working mainly on the following topics: Viruses, Hepatitis C Virus, Viral Genetic Variability, Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Antivirals and Biosafety.
