Biography
Benvinda Rosalina dos Santos holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedicine from the University of Santo Amaro (1985), a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Federal University of São Paulo (1990) and a PhD in Psychobiology from the Federal University of São Paulo (1997). Currently Associate Professor IV of the Federal University of Uberlândia, Institute of Biomedical Sciences - ARFIS-Pharmacology. With experience in Neuropsicofarmacologia molecula, working mainly in the following subjects: chemical dependence, focusing on neuro and cardiotoxicity of Methamphetamine and MDMA, as well as the role of the opioid system in alcohol dependence. Coordinator of the Center for the Study and Treatment of Substance Abuse at the Federal University of Uberlândia.
