Carlos Henrique Ataíde

Biography

Carlos Henrique Ataíde holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1981), a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1985) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1996). He was director of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering in the quadrennium 2005-2009. He is currently Associate Professor 4 of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has experience in Chemical Engineering, with emphasis on Separation and Mixing Operations, working mainly on the following topics: particle and bubble dynamics; fluidised and vibrofluidized beds; pneumatic transport; solid-fluid separation and liquid-liquid applied to mineral processing and the solids control system in the drilling of oil and gas wells; flotation applied to mineral processing and effluent treatment; drying of fertilizer and drilling wells; rapid pyrolysis of biomass and computational fluid dynamics applied to multiphase flows. Scientific Initiation (with scholarship) project guidelines completed, 34 dissertation guidelines completed 28, and doctoral dissertation guidelines completed 11.
