Biography

Claudio Vieira da Silva holds a bachelor's degree in Dentistry from the University of Uberaba (1993), a Master's degree in Immunology and Parasitology Applied by the Federal University of Uberlândia (2003) and a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from the Federal University of São Paulo. Post-doctorate at the Federal University of São Paulo (2008). He is currently Associate Professor in Immunology at the Federal University of Uberlândia. Coordinates the Trypanosomatids Laboratory. Advisor Professor of Master and Doctorate in the Postgraduate Program in Applied Immunology and Parasitology and Master's in the Postgraduate Program in Applied Cellular and Structural Biology of the Federal University of Uberlândia. It investigates the biological activities of Trypanosoma cruzi Protein 21 for the development of new therapeutic forms against Chagas disease. Develops new drug delivery systems in oncology Studies the impact of IL-9 on the establishment of hepatorenal syndrome
