Biography
Geraldo Batista de Melo has a degree in Dentistry from the Uberaba University (1977), Specialist in Microbiology from PUC-BH (1981), a Master's degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1996) and a PhD in Genetics and Biochemistry from Universidade Federal de Uberlândia . He is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia. He has experience in Medicine and Dentistry, with emphasis on Infection and Hospital Epidemiology, working mainly on the following topics: antimicrobial, nosocomial infection, bacterial resistance, biofilm and bacterial growth.
