Biography
João Jorge Ribeiro Damasceno graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1980). He obtained his Master's and Doctor's degrees in Chemical Engineering in 1985 and 1992, respectively, in the Coordination of Graduate Programs in Engineering (COPPE) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (current Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research of engineering). He has been a professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) since 1983, where he achieved the title of Professor through a public competition. He has already acted as Course Coordinator, Head of Department and Director of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering of UFU. It develops teaching in the sub-areas of Transport Phenomena, Separation Processes and Radioisotope Uses, in which he has already conducted dozens of Scientific Initiations and more than fifteen master's dissertations and five doctoral theses.
