Biography
Marcelo Emílio Beletti holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Uberlândia - UFU (1987), a master's degree (1992) and a doctorate (1998) in Cell Biology from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP. He completed postdoctoral studies at the Physics Institute of São Carlos - USP (2003-2004). He was coordinator (2004-2005) of the Graduate Program in Veterinary Sciences of the Federal University of Uberlândia. He was a member (2005-2007) and coordinator (2007-2009) of the Advisory Board on Biological Sciences and Biotechnology of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Minas Gerais - FAPEMIG. He has been a member of the board of trustees of the Brazilian College of Animal Reproduction since May 2015. He was Dean of Research and Post-graduation at the Federal University of Uberlândia from December 21, 2012 to January 4, 2017. He is currently Full Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.
Research Interest
He has experience in the area of ​​Morphology, with emphasis in Cell Biology, acting mainly on the following subjects: spermatogenesis, spermatic chromatin, nuclear matrix, in vitro fertilization, histopathology, ultrastructural pathology and image analysis.
