Paulo Rogério De Faria

Biography

Adjunct Professor IV of the Biomedical Sciences Institute of the Federal University of Uberlândia where he works in teaching, research and extension. Collaborator of the Oral Pathology Department of the Faculty of Dentistry of UFU in the histopathological diagnosis of oral lesions. Permanent professor in the Postgraduate Programs in Applied Cellular and Structural Biology and Applied Immunology and Parasitology of the Federal University of Uberlândia where he guides masters and doctoral students. He was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Applied Cellular and Structural Biology from 2010 to 2014. He has more than 50 published papers and a book chapter. Coordinator of projects approved in FAPEMIG and CNPq. Reviewer of national and international journals such as Journal Oral Pathology and Medicine and Histology and Histopathology, Graduated in Dentistry by the Federal University of Uberlândia (2000), during which time he was a scientific initiation fellow by CNPq. Master's Degree in Stomatopathology from the Faculty of Dentistry of UNICAMP (2002) where he studied histopathologically the language of 96 individuals who died as a result of AIDS and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Pablo Agustin Vargas, and PhD in Pathology from the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro (2006), where he studied the role of galectin-3 in the development of the tongue of mice challenged with the carcinogen 4NQO and under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Adriano Mota Loyola.

Research Interest

He has experience in the field of oral pathology, with emphasis on tumors of the head and neck, especially malignant salivary gland tumors, and histopathological diagnosis of lesions that affect the cranio-maxillofacial complex.
