Biography
Dr. Vanessa Carl (B.Sc, DVM) obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with honours with distinction from the University of Victoria in 2003. She then went on to achieve her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with distinction from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2007. Dr. Carl has been working as a small animal practitioner ever since and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially dentistry, internal medicine and oncology. Dr. Carl joined Fish Creek 24 hr Pet Hospital in 2012 and became a partner in 2017. When she's not at Fish Creek, she will probably be at our sister clinic Little Creek Veterinary Clinic in Millrise. Dr. Carl has a couple well-fed bratty cats named Tigger and Garfield, who tell anyone who will listen that they deserve more food. She also has a Border collie cross named Bernard, who keeps her own her toes with his "Marley and Me" type antics. She spends her time off practicing ashtanga yoga, doing anything "Maui" and doing home renovations.
