Biography

Mr. Gary Robert Garrabrant is a Co-Founder, Managing Director and Managing Partner at Jaguar Growth Partners LLC. He founded the firm in 2013. Mr. Garrabrant Co-Founded Equity International in 1999 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and Director. He provided strategic direction and oversaw all of its activities and investment portfolio. Mr. Garrabrant left the Equity International in 2012. He served as an Executive Vice President of Equity Group Investments, LLC (EGI) from 1996 to 1999. Prior to joining EGI, he co-founded and led Genesis Realty Capital Management. He was a Senior Real Estate Investment Banker at Chemical Bank followed by The Bankers Trust Company from 1981 to 1994. He serves as the Chairman of Grupo Thá and has been its Director since July 2012. Mr. Garrabrant served as the Chairman of Gafisa S.A. from January 26, 2006 to November 8, 2010. He served as Vice Chairman of Desarrolladora Homex, SAB de CV. He serves as a Director of Brazilian Finance e Real Estate SA. He led the acquisition of California Real Estate Investment Trust and the creation of Capital Trust, where he served as a Vice Chairman. He served as a Director of Capital Trust, Inc. from January 1997 to June 17, 2004. He served as Independent Director of Gafisa S.A. from January 26, 2006 to November 8, 2010. He served as Director of Desarrolladora Homex, SAB de CV. He served as a Director of NH Hoteles S.A. from 2001 to April 16, 2007. He served as a Director of Blackstone Mortgage Trust, Inc. from January 1997 to June 17, 2004. He served as a Director of SAMHI Hotels Private Limited. He is a Member of the Kellogg Institute for International Studies Advisory Board at the University of Notre Dame, University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business Advisory Council and the Real Estate Advisory Board at Cambridge University. He conceived and established the Garrabrant International Internship Program at Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. He has extensive real estate, investment management and banking experience. Mr. Garrabrant graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance and completed the Dartmouth Institute at Dartmouth College.
