Mr. André Bier Gerdau Johannpeter has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Gerdau S. A. since January 1, 2007. Mr. Gerdau Johannpeter serves as Chief Executive Officer and Member of Executive Officers Board at Seiva S.A. - Florestas e Indústrias. He served as Vice President of Gerdau Açominas S.A. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Gerdau Special Steel North America. He served as Group Chief Executive Officer and President of Metalurgica Gerdau S.A. since January 1, 2007 and also serves as its Chairman of the Board. He served as Executive Officer of Seiva S.A. - Florestas e Indústrias. He served as an Executive Vice President of North American operations and Information Technology processes at Gerdau S.A. since 2002 and also served its Chief Operating Officer. He served as Chief executive Officer of Gusap Partners since January 2007 and its Chief Operating Officer and Vice President from August 2004 to March 2006. Mr. Gerdau Johannpeter studied General Business Administration at the University of Toronto (Canada), Marketing in Ashridge (England), and Advanced Management at the Wharton School - University of Pennsylvania (United States). He received a degree in Business Management from the Catholic Pontiff University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
