Biography

Assistant Professor of Finance, Goethe University, Frankfurt (2005–2010).  Senior Research Fellow, Singapure National University, (2009).  Visiting Professor of Finance, COPPEAD Business School (2006 and 2008).  Visiting Fellow, Boston College, (2010).  Post-Doctoral Fellow, Finance Department, Wharton School, University of Philadelphia, (2007).  Visiting Professor, University of Lugano, Switzerland (since 2006).  Worked as a consultant for many international corporations and institutions, including Accenture, the German Stock Exchange, ProCredit Holding AG and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).  Published two books and several papers in journals such as the Review of Finance, the Journal of Banking and Finance, the Journal of Financial Services Research and the Journal of Small Business Management.  Ad-Hoc Expert, American Economic Review, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Small Business Management and World Development (selection).
