Amos Genish

Biography

Mr. Amos Genish has been Chief Executive Officer and Non-Independent Executive Director of Telecom Italia S.p.A. since September 28, 2017 and has been its General Manager since October 16, 2017. Mr. Genish served as Chief Convergence Officer of Vivendi SA since January 4, 2017 until July 2017. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Telefônica Brasil S.A. since May 28, 2015 until January 1, 2017 and served as its President until January 1, 2017. Mr. Genish co-founded Global Village Telecom (Holding) S.A. and served as its Chief Executive Officer since 1999. Until 2015, he was Chief Executive Officer of GVT. He co-founded GVT in 1999 as an alternative telecommunications operator and led its expansion in Brazil, reaching a turnover of over 2 billion dollars in 2014. In 2007, he led the process of opening capital (IPO) of GVT in Brazil stock exchange (Bovespa). In 2009, he led the sales process for Vivendi company, for 4.8 billion dollars. In 2014, he led the sale of GVT Telefonica for more than nine billion dollars. He was Chief Executive Officer of a technology company listed on Nasdaq. Mr. Genish served as a Member of Management Board at Vivendi S.A. from June 2011 to June 28, 2012. He serves as Vice Chairman and Director of Global Village Telecom (Holding) S.A. He served as a Director of Telefônica Brasil S.A. since May 28, 2015. He has been an Executive Director of Itaú Unibanco Holding S.A. since June 2017. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Tel Aviv.
