Biography

Mr. Israel Vainboim serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Cambuhy Commercial, Representações e Participações; E. Johnston Representações e Participações; E. Johnston and Imopar Participações Imobiliárias. Mr. Vainboim served as President of Unibanco – União de Banco Brasileiros S.A from 1988 to 1992 and Unibanco Holdings S.A from 1994 to 2007. Mr. Vainboim joined Unibanco-Union of Brazilian Banks S.A., in 1969 and has held several positions in the areas of investment, leasing and credit. Mr. Vainboim serves as Vice President of Unibanco Leasing and as a Member of the Consulting Board of ANBID (Investment Banks Association) and of ABEL (Brazilian Association of Leasing Companies). He is also a member of the Board of the House of Culture of Israel in São Paulo, a Member of the International Advisory Council of General Atlantic Partners, located in New York, New York, Chairman of the Board of Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. (Usiminas), a leading flat steel manufacturer, since April 2010, a member of the Consulting Board of GVT S.A. and a member of the Consulting Board of Stanford Graduate School of Business.
