Biography

He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1996), with a master's degree (2000) and a PhD (2003) in Soil Science Agronomy by UFRRJ, including a PhD experience in Germany. Researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company - EMBRAPA since 2002 is full at the Embrapa Agrobiology unit (Seropédica, RJ). He works as a soil microbiologist in Research, Development and Innovation and Technology Transfer projects. He is a project leader (national and international) by Embrapa, FAPERJ, CNPq and CAPES. It has contributed to obtain final results regarding the recommendation of inoculant strains for cowpea in MAPA. This technology has been part of Embrapa's Social Balance since 2005. It was part of the environmental impact assessment that subsidized the evaluation of CTNBio in relation to the transgenic beans resistant to the golden mosaic virus of Embrapa (2011). In intellectual property, in partnership with UFRRJ, applied for a patent application and certificate of vehicle addition based on polymer mixture for formulating inoculants of bacteria of agronomic interest in relation to Biological Nitrogen Fixation and the promotion of plant growth (2005) . Internationally, it maintains partnership with Portugal, Germany, Mozambique and Ghana. In Ghana and in partnership with Embrapa Ghana and SARI, it is part of the team responsible for the validation, production, use and distribution of inoculation technology for cowpea and rhizobia using a vehicle based on polymer blends. Supervisor of the Project Support Center and member of the Internal Technical Committee (2008 to 2010) worked on the management of the Technologies, Products and Processes portfolio as a strategy to follow the Master Plan of the Unit. Embrapa Agrobiology's Deputy Chief of Technology Transfer (2011 to 2013) allowed a repositioning in relation to the strategic analysis for new projects, culminating with the first national project of Technology Transfer for the promotion of Biological Nitrogen Fixation and the process analysis for the recommendation of strains as inoculants by ABPM. By Embrapa, contributed to the elaboration of the Sectoral Plan for Mitigation and Adaptation of Climate Change for the Consolidation of a Low Carbon Emission Economy in Agriculture (ABC Plan) and the identification of emergency and structuring actions in relation to the coexistence with the drought in the Semi-arid. He was a member (Executive Secretary) of the Working Group, which culminated in the creation of the Project Management Committee for Biological Nitrogen Fixation Projects, where he acts as a member. Through the academy, he works in postgraduate courses in Plant Biotechnology (UFRJ) and Agronomy in Soil Science (UFRRJ).
