Biography
Mr. Ricardo Baldin has been Director of the Controllership (ACO), Risk Management (AGR) & Information Technology (ATI) Divisions at Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social since September 2, 2016. Mr. Baldin served as Managing Director of Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social since June 10, 2016 until September 2, 2016. Mr. Baldin has an extensive experience in the financial sector and specialized in issues about industrial costs, foreign trade operations and auditing of financial institutions. In 1994, he assumed the coordination of group of Financial Institutions in Brazil and in 1995, in South America, where he did an extensive work of reformulation of these institutions, with impacts on operational performance and revenue growth. In April 2015, he founded a company of accounting and business consulting and assistance, where, to date, he had been performing his professional activities. In 1977, Mr. Baldin joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a trainee, where he worked for 31 years, 19 of which as a Partner. As Partner, he was responsible for PwCs financial institutions group in South America, where he was responsible for the coordinating various projects in the region, including the evaluation of the Ecuadorian financial system. As an Independent Auditor, he was the Leading Partner of the financial institutions area. Mr. Baldin served as Executive Director of Itaú Unibanco Holding SA since April 29, 2009 and served as its Member of Executive Board. Mr. Baldin was responsible for the internal audit division of the executive directors’ office. He serves as Executive Director of Itaú Unibanco S.A. He served as a Director of the National Association of Financial, Administrative and Accounting Executives, or ANEFAC and was also responsible for the financial institutions group at IBRACON for several years. Mr. Baldin has a Bachelor's Degree in accounting science from the Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, Rio Grande do Sul and university extension courses in management and finance from the Fundao Dom Cabral and Fundao Getulio Vargas.
