Biography
Dr. Luiz Felipe Pinheiro de Andrade, Ph.D. was a Managing Director and Country Head of Brazil Operations at BlackRock, Inc. between September 2010 and March 2012. Dr. de Andrade served as an Executive Officer of Itaú Unibanco Holding SA since April 29, 2009 and was responsible for its market risk and liquidity division. He served as Director of markets and liquidity risk at Itau-Unibanco. Dr. de Andrade was an executive officer of Unibanco Asset Management from 1997 to 2009, of Unibanco Servios de Investimentos' back office and financial control of investment funds from 2003 to 2005 and was deputy officer from 1998 to 2003. Prior to joining BlackRock, Dr. Andrade spent over 13 years at Itau-Unibanco. He served as a Director of Itau Unibanco S.A. He was a lecturer of Fundao Getlio Vargas from 1998 to 2005 and of the PUC-RJ from 1989 to 1990. Dr. de Andrade has a PhD in Finance from the University of Colorado, a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC) in Rio de Janeiro and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais. He graduated in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering.
