Biography
Alexander Müller is responsible for covering the economies of Mexico and Peru. Before joining Itaú in 2016, he was an Associate Director & FX Strategist at the macro research team of BTG Pactual in Santiago, Chile, and the Chief Economist at the American Chamber of Commerce in Lima, Peru. Mr. Müller holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Lima (Peru) and a master’s degree in public administration (MPA) from Columbia University (New York) where he also taught the recitation classes of former Assistant U.S. Treasury Secretary Richard Clarida’s monetary policy course in the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semesters.
