Biography
Mr. Alvaro Pereira Novis serves as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of JSL SA. He worked for 15 years at BankBoston, reaching the position of Vice President of the National Division of the Bank in Brazil. He served for eight years as Director of Bank Iochpe de Investimentos. He was Director of ANBID - National Association of Investment Banks and Febraban (Brazilian Federation of Banks). In 1992, he joined the Odebrecht Group, and has since held various positions in the financial areas at companies related to the Group. Currently, he is Member of the Boards of Directors of ODBINV SA Holding of Odebrecht Organization, Caixa Geral de Depositos Brasil and Vice President of Camara de Comercio Americana Brasil - AMCHAM. He is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gestao de Investimentos Ltda - VGI. He gained a Bachelor's in Public Administration from Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV).
