Biography
Mr. Gabriel Mário Rodrigues has been an Officer of GMR Participações S.A., Officer of Rádio Brasil since 2000. Mr. Rodrigues served as the Chairman of Management Board at Kroton Educacional S.A. Mr. Rodrigues served as Chairman of the Board of Kroton Educacional S.A. since July 3, 2014 until September 28, 2017 and its Vice Chairman since September 28, 2017. Mr. Rodrigues has been the Chairman of Anhanguera Educacional Participacoes S.A., since April 2013. Mr. Rodrigues has been working in the field of education for over 40 years, starting in 1971 as the founder of the first Brazilian Tourism undergraduate program at Faculdade de Turismo do Morumbi - OBTC. He was Dean of the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi - ISCP. He served as a Director of Faculdade Anhembi Morumbi from 1971 to 1997. He serves as a Director at GMR Participações S.A. and the Rádio Brasil 2000. Mr. Rodrigues was responsible for Overseeing the State of São Paulo’s Constructions and Public Services Department - DOP from 1968 to 1971 and for the Press Office of the Superintendence of the State of São Paulo’s Constructions and Public Services Department - DOP from 1968 to 1971. Currently, Mr. Rodrigues is the elected Chairman of the Brazilian Association of Post-Secondary Education Sponsors (Abmes) for the 2004/2007, 2007/2010 and 2010/2013 mandates, having been Vice-Chairman from 1992 to 2004. He was the Chairman of the Anchor Project for the Rights of the Child, Teenager and Elderly from 2009 to 2012, Full Member of the Trustee Board and full member of the Representative Entities of the National Foundation of the Development of Private Post-Secondary Education - FUNADESP from 2005 to 2009, Chairman of the Sponsor Council and Partner of the Brazilian Network of Distance Learning - Brazilian Virtual University and member of the State Board of Food and Nutrition Safety - CONSEA/SP. He is a Member of the Board of the Viva o Centro Association, since 2005; and Member of the Advisory Council of the Medical-Cultural Gastroenterology and Nutrition Foundation of São Paulo. In addition to that, he participates in the leadership of professional associations, such as SEMESP - Sindicato das Entidades Mantenedoras de Estabelecimentos de Ensino Superior no Estado de São Paulo (State of São Paulo Association of Postsecondary Supporting Entities), from 2011 to 2014, having been Chairman from 1993 to 2004 and Second Vice-Chairman from 2008 to 2011; President of the Deliberative Council of CEBRADE - Centro Brasileiro de Desenvolvimento do Ensino Superior (Brazilian Center of Postsecondary Education Development), since 2003; Founder and Executive Secretary of Fórum das Entidades Representativas do Ensino Superior Particular (Postsecondary Private Institutions Forum) since 2008; and Member of the Deliberative Council of ANUP - Associação Nacional das Universidades Particulares (National Association of Private Universities), since 2007. Mr. Rodrigues has a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Faculdade de Arquitetura Mackenzie (1955) and a specialist degree in Business Communication (1960).
