Biography

Mr. Jose Carlos Hruby serves as an Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Lojas Renner S.A. He served as Member of the Board of Directors of Lojas Renner SA. Within the Company, he has also been a Member of the Social Entrepreneurial Responsibility and Sustainability Committee since January 1, 2011. He joined the Renner Organizations in March 1961, and began his career at the Company in April 1965, having held positions in the Human Resources area for seven years. In 1971, he was appointed as Assistant to the Company’s Executive Board. In 1981, he played a part in the establishment of Financeira Renner SA until June 1998. In 1983, he was made Planning and Systems Officer, in 1988 accumulating the position of Investor Relations Officer, a position he held until June 24, 2010. In April 1990, he was elected Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, being responsible for the Human Resources area until December 31, 2008, the IT area until December 8, 2008 and Financial Controls Office, Financial Services, Legal and Investor Relations until June 24, 2010. He has been Member of the Board of Directors of Auxiliadora Predial Ltda since November 2008 and of Lojas Salfer SA since October 2009. He gained a degree in Accounting from Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) and a Masters in Accounting from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in 1972.
