Biography

Mr. Thomas K. Montag, also known as Tom, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Director at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Mr. Montag has been the Chief Operating Officer of Bank of America Corporation since September 2014. He served as a Co-Chief Operating Officer at Bank of America Corporation from September 2011 to September 2014. He served as an Executive Vice President in August 2008, Head of Global Sales and Trading in April 28, 2008 and President of Global Banking and Markets at the firm. Mr. Montag is responsible for all of the businesses for companies and institutional investors, including middle market commercial and large corporate clients and institutional investor clients, including Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Research and the global markets sales and trading businesses. He has extensive industry knowledge, with over two decades of experience in financial markets throughout the world. Mr. Montag serves as a Director at Goldman Sachs Jbwere Pty Ltd., BlackRock Preferred Income Strategies Fund, Inc and BofA Merrill Lynch. He has been Director at GS Financial Products US Co since May 1, 1995. Mr. Montag served as the President of Global Banking and Markets at Bank of America Corporation from August 2009 to September 2011. He started his career with management positions at First National Bank of Chicago.
