Biography

Fábio Colletti Barbosa is graduated in Business Administration from FGV-SP Business School and holds an MBA from the Institute for Management and Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. He worked in companies such as Nestlé and Citibank. From 1993 to 1995 he was CEO of LTCB Latin America, a Brazilian subsidiary of The Long Term Credit Bank of Japan. He joined ABN AMRO Brasil in 1996 and took over as CEO of Banco Real em 1998, when it was acquired by the Dutch group. In 2006 he also became the executive responsible for ABN AMRO’s activities throughout Latin America. In 2008 he was appointed CEO of the Santander Brazil Group, consisting of Santander and Banco ABN AMRO Real. In 2011, he became Executive President of Abril S.A, where he remained until 2015. He was an independent member of the Board of Petrobrás between 2003 and 2011 and a member of the Economic and Social Development Council of the President of the Republic of Brazil. He is the Vice President Director of Social Programs in Fundação Itaú Social. He is on the board of Itaú Unibanco Holding, Almar Participações and Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM). He is also a member of the Advisory Council of Insper and President of the Instituto Empreender Endeavor.
