Biography
Mr. Luis Ermírio de Moraes has been Chairman of the Board at VM Holding S.A. since 2016. Mr. de Moraes has been Chairman of the board of directors of VMZ since 2014. He serves as Vice President of the Board of Votorantim Participações S.A. He began his professional career working as an engineer in various processes in the areas of alumina refinery, smelter and aluminum smelting, pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical mineral processing of nickel laterites, developing novel projects for the separation and refining of cobalt. In the early 2000s, he was the shareholder responsible for the creation and development of a new Votorantim business area with investments in IT and biotechnology. Mr. de Moraes serves as Director of Votorantim S.A.( VSA). He has been Director at VM Holding S.A. since August 25, 2016. He received a bachelor's degree in mineral and chemistry engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, in the state of Colorado, United States, in 1982
