Daniel E. Freiman

Biography

Daniel Freiman is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NII Holdings, Inc., a provider of differentiated mobile communication services for businesses and high value consumers in Brazil. NII trades on the NASDAQ stock market under the symbol NIHD. As CFO, Mr. Freiman is responsible for leading the overall financial management of the company, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and reporting, capital structure and liquidity, taxation, investor relations, corporate development and internal audit. Prior to being appointed CFO, Mr. Freiman served as treasurer, vice president of corporate development and investor relations of NII. In this role, Mr. Freiman led the company's initiatives to raise capital to fund its business plans, designed and implemented the company's capital structure, managed interactions with the company's investors and oversaw divestitures of the company's operations in Mexico and Argentina.  From 2005 to 2008 Mr. Freiman served as vice president and controller of NII. In this role, Mr. Freiman led the regular financial reporting requirements with the Securities and Exchange Commission and oversaw the company's compliance with U.S. GAAP accounting requirements.  Mr. Freiman began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focused on financial auditing in the financial services industry. In total, Mr. Freiman has 21 years of financial experience, including 15 years in the telecommunications industry.  Mr. Freiman is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park, where he earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and a masters degree in business administration with concentration in finance.
