Biography
Mr. Alvaro Bandeira has been President of Fiscal Committee at Oi S.A. since October 9, 2017. Mr. Álvaro is a Chief Economist of Modalmais Brokerage House since 2015, the year he joined the institution. From 2011 to 2015, he was Chief Economist of Órama, where he led the analysis team. He held the same position for over ten years at Ágora Corretora, of which he was also Managing Partner. He was the Chairman of the Brazilian Futures Exchange (BBF), Chairman of the National and Regional APIMEC and in five administrations, Member of the Board of BVRJ and BM&F and former member of Souza Cruz‘s Fiscal Council. He works as Speaker in several Congresses related to Capital Markets and personal finances, as well as developing lectures in universities and companies on topics related to this market. It maintains a regular news column in vehicles of the economic area and in websites of financial education, like Dinheirama and Infomoney. In the latter, he was part of an interactive weekly program with a forum of over 400 people logged in. He is a daily columnist for two editions of BandNews FM. With over 40 years of experience in the Capital Market. Mr. Bandeira has a degree in Economics from UFRJ and a graduate degree from Coppe-UFRJ.
