Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Gama Filho University (1988), a Master's degree in Parasitary Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (1995) and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2006). He is currently a researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. He has experience in the field of Biochemistry, with emphasis in Molecular Biology, working mainly on the following topics: Tuberculosis and Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Leprosy and Mycobacterium leprae, Molecular Identification of Microorganisms, Molecular Biology and Molecular Epidemiology.
