Biography

Mr. Rui Pereira is the Co-Founder of OutSystems- Software em Rede, S.A. (formerly OutSystems S.A.) and has been its Vice President of Digital Transformation since December 7, 2017. Mr. Pereira served as Vice President of Professional Services of OutSystems- Software em Rede, S.A. until December 7, 2017. Mr. Pereira served as a Vice President of Business Development of OutSystems S.A. since 2001. He has a wide experience on the overall IT industry, specially focused on the wireless and Internet industry. He Co-founded Gaikai, Inc. in 2008 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. He has over 13 years of experience in providing consulting services to companies like Unilever, Eaton Corporation, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems, Applied Materials, LGE Korea, AT&T, Western Digital, Toshiba Japan and ITT/Yellow Pages. He has developed advanced distributed systems for these companies, while leading an advanced applications architecture group in Oracle Corporation, USA. In 1998, Mr. Pereira returned to Portugal to launch the country 3rd wireless operator and served as the Head of the wireless and Internet development group. He lead an Internet and Wireless consulting group within WeDo Consulting and was responsible for €2M in the first 5 months of activity having launched several high visibility internet and wireless initiatives. He has been a Director of OutSystems- Software em Rede, S.A. since May 18, 2017. Mr. Pereira holds a BS in Computer Science.
