Biography
Cheryl Reicin is a partner in the law firm of Torys LLP and the practice leader of its Life Science and Technology Group, a cross-border group in New York, Toronto and Calgary. She was named one of Canada’s Top 25 Women of Influence (No. 1 in the professional services category) and Best Lawyer’s Toronto BioTechnology Lawyer of the Year and has the sole distinction of being ranked in numerous international and national rankings as a leading lawyer in life science and technology in both the U.S. and Canada. She advises pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devise and health technology companies, investors, investment banks as well as academic medical centers and hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Israel in public and private financings, licensing, mergers and acquisitions and corporate structures. Her clients range from start-ups to the largest biotechnology company in the world. Cheryl is the chair and a founder of Genesis, which provides mentorship to young entrepreneurs and innovative non-profits; a trustee of The Hospital for Sickkids; a director of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation; a director of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs; and an advisory board member of Health Technology Exchange (HTX). She is a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University and the Harvard Law School.
