Biography
Fabiana Gomes is a Manager with 14 years of practical work experience. She is a biologist (specializing in environmental management) focused on industrial, environmental and natural resources management. Her work is concentrated in the assessment of environmental and social impacts and liabilities, both in the public and private sectors, and she has participated in and coordinated projects in the fields of environmental impact assessment, environmental liability assessment, social and environmental risk assessment for financial institutions, environmental permitting, environmental site assessment, landscape ecology, land planning and management, ecological zoning and degraded areas redevelopment, as well as planning, implementation and auditing of EHS and social responsibility management systems. In addition, Fabiana has extensive experience in forestry research on Brazilian ecosystems, with highlighted experience in the Amazonian region. Throughout her career, Fabiana has worked in all Brazilian states, as well as in several South American countries, having extensive knowledge of HSE regulations and regional environmental practices. She holds an MSc in botany for systematic and ecology of tropical forests and a specialist degree in environmental management, both from the University of São Paulo.
