Biography
Hugo Diogo has 13 years of experience in socioeconomic diagnosis, local development, stakeholder engagement, and social performance and impact assessments. He has designed, coordinated and implemented on-site phases of social and environmental projects for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and indigenous communities, as well as international, government and private-sector clients. Hugo has expertise in social technologies and qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and is a trained dialogue and conflict management facilitator. He holds a bachelor’s degree in oceanography—with emphasis on human ecology—from the Universidade do Vale do Itajaí, and a master’s degree in eco-development and renewable natural resources management from the Center of Philosophy and Human Sciences at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Brazil.
