Biography
He holds a medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1972), a Master's degree in Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (1982) and a PhD in Pathology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (1990) . He is currently Full Professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. He has experience in the area of ​​Medicine, with emphasis in Pathological Anatomy and Clinical Pathology, working mainly in the following subjects: Neuropathology, with focus for Central Nervous System Tumors, Epilepsy, Neuroinfections and Brain degenerative diseases; Infectious and Parasitic Diseases, focusing on AIDS, measles, HPV, rabies and schistosomiasis; Skeletal muscle, with focus for sleep disorders; Experimental and human models in inflammation, healing of wounds and grafts; Deep Endometriosis, Therapeutic Targets; Social Responsibility, Physician-Patient Relationship and Humanization in Medicine and in health professionals.
