Biography
Graduated in Medicine (1991) and Residency in Psychiatry (1995) by the Federal University of Santa Maria-RS, internships with the Universities of Bologna (1996) and Milan (1997) and PhD in Psychiatry from the University of São Paulo (2002), training at the University of Würzburg - Germany (1999-2000). He is currently an Assistant Physician at the Institute of Psychiatry (Coordinator of the Acute Internment Unit), Collaborating Professor, Coordinator of the Medical Residency Program of Psychiatry and Post-Graduate Counselor at the Psychiatry Department of the Medical School of the University of São Paulo ( FMUSP). Professor, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Santa Casa de São Paulo, acting in a psychiatric emergency. Coordinator of psychiatric care at the Institute of Sallet Medicine (Bariatric Surgery) and activity in private practice. He has experience in Psychiatry, with emphasis on Psychoses and teaching of Psychiatry, working mainly in the following subjects: medical education (Psychiatry), psychoses, psychopharmacology, neuroimaging, psychopathology and classification of mental disorders, binge eating and psychiatric alterations associated with bariatric surgery
