Paulo Roberto Corsi

Biography

Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1981). He completed the Adaptation Internship in the Ministry of the Army when he reached the position of 1st Medical Lieutenant (1982). He did Medical Residency in General Surgery in the Department of Surgery of the Santa Casa de São Paulo (1883-1986). Master's and PhD in Medicine (Surgery) by the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. He has been Assistant Professor of the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo since 1994. He has been responsible for the Discipline of Surgical Technique since 2009. Specialist Degree in General Surgery, Digestive Surgery, Gastroenterology, Surgery Oncology and Coloproctology. President of the Brazilian College of Surgeons. Full Member of the Brazilian College of Surgeons, Gastroenterology and Nutrition Society of São Paulo. Effective Member of the Paulista Association of Medicine, Brazilian Society of Oncologic Surgery and Brazilian Society of Digestive Motility. Fellow of the International Society of Diseases of the Esophagus. He was Delegate of the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of São Paulo, Member of the Professional Defense Department of the Brazilian Federation of Gastroenterology and Master of the Chapter of São Paulo of the Brazilian College of Surgeons for 2 terms from 2004 to 2007. He participated in 132 Extension Courses University; 55 National Congresses; 22 International Congresses and 9 Congresses Abroad. He delivered 390 lectures or conferences in São Paulo and several cities in Brazil. He participated as an Instructor / Coordinator or Director of 54 Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Courses at the American College of Surgeons. Participated in 55 Examining Boards. He presented 102 scientific papers and 3 videos in National Congresses, besides 14 works abroad. Published 45 scientific articles in national medical journals; 5 papers in international journals; 59 abstracts in congress proceedings and 34 chapters in medical books. Chief of the Emergency Team of the Central Emergency Room of the Santa Casa de São Paulo from 1986 to 1995. Director of the Emergency Room of the São Luiz Hospital - Anália Franco Unit from July 2008 to July 2010.
