Pedro Paulo Chieffi

Biography

He holds a medical degree from the University of São Paulo (1969), a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of São Paulo (1975) and a PhD in Biology (Pathogen-Host Relationship Biology) from the University of São Paulo (1985). He is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. He has experience in the field of Parasitology, with emphasis in Helminthology, acting mainly on the following subjects: Toxocara canis, toxocaríase, Schistosoma mansoni, larva migrans visceral and schistosomiasis mansoni. Develops a line of research that addresses behavioral changes in parasitized hosts.
