Biography
He holds a medical degree from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (1975), a Master's degree in Medicine (Preventive Medicine) from the University of São Paulo (1985) and a PhD in Medicine (Preventive Medicine) from the University of São Paulo (1993) . He is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Santa Casa de São Paulo, visiting professor at the Juan Lazarte Institute of Health, National University of Rosario, scholarship holder at the Augusto Leopoldo Ayrosa Galvão Research Center, CNPq ID grant and associate of the Brazilian Association of Post-graduation in Collective Health (ABRASCO) where he coordinated the Epidemiology Committee and held the presidency between 1997 and 2000, and the International of Epidemiological Association (board member 2014-2017). She was Coordinator of the Public Health Area at CAPES (2008-2010 and 2011-2014), representative in the Health Area of ​​the Scientific Technical Council for Higher Education (2008-2014) and representative of the CTC-ES in the Higher Council (2011-2014). Representative of the academic community at the Higher Council of CAPES for the 2014-2017 term, currently retired due to having taken over the CAPES Evaluation Board as of August 2016. She is a scientific editor of the Revista de Saúde Pública, position assumed in CAPES Member of the CA Collective Health and Nutrition of CNPq (2014-2016). He has experience in Collective Health, with emphasis in Epidemiology, working mainly on the following topics: epidemiology of communicable diseases, social inequalities in health, and scientific policy.
