Biography
He holds a medical degree from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a master's degree in Medicine, Orthopedics and Traumatology from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo (FCMSCSP) and a doctorate in Health Sciences from FCMSCSP. He finished his postdoctoral degree in Health Sciences at the FCMSCSP in the area of ​​spinal surgery. Has experience in the area of ​​Medicine, with emphasis on spinal disorders, acting mainly on the following topics: deformities, tumors, degenerative and traumatic diseases of the spine. Currently, he is head of the Spine Group of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology (DOT) Fernandinho Simonsen Pavilion, permanent member of the DOT-ISCSP Scientific Commission, coordinator of the Orthopedics Internship of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of São Paulo (5th and 6th years) and Adjunct Professor of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the FCMSCSP. In addition, he is an active member of the Continuing Education Committee (CEC) of the Brazilian Society of Coluna and responsible for Orthopedic Education of Latin America of the AOSPINE Foundation. Today he is responsible for the Post-Graduation Course lato-sensu of Spine Surgery of the DOT-ISCSP and works as a permanent teacher in the orientation of theses of the Postgraduate Program of Surgery of the FCMSCSP. Currently, he was elected member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Column in the Assembly of 2015 and, elected President of the Brazilian Congress of Column that will be held in SP 2019. is an active member of the Commission of Continuing Education (CEC) of the Brazilian Society of Column and responsible for Orthopedic Education of Latin America of the AOSPINE Foundation.
