Anne M. Finucane

Biography

  Ms. Anne M. Finucane served as the Global Chief Strategy & Marketing Officer and Member of Executive Management at Bank of America Corporation until May 2017 and has been its Vice Chairman since July 22, 2015. As leader of marketing, research, advertising and communications organization, Ms. Finucane is responsible for the strategic positioning of Bank of America and its lines of business around the world. She directs Bank of America's engagement and position on global and domestic policies, current legislation and other public affairs issues affecting Bank of America globally. She also oversees Bank of America's corporate social responsibility program, which includes a long-term, industry-leading commitment to economic and community development; a 10-year, $2 billion charitable giving goal through the Bank of America Charitable Foundation; and a $50 billion environmental business initiative that follows the fulfillment of Bank of America's 10-year, $20 billion environmental goal more than four years ahead of schedule. She served as Global Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer of Bank of America Corporation since June 01, 2006. Ms. Finucane served as the President of Northeast Region, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications and Global Corporate Affairs Executive of Bank of America Corporation. She was responsible for public policy and Bank of America's charitable foundation and keeps those roles and add corporate communications, plus responsibility for its Market President. She served as an Executive Vice President of FleetBoston Financial Corp. since 1999. She served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Marketing and Corporate Communications of FleetBoston Financial Corp. from 1995 to 1999. During her 18 years at Bank of America and its legacy firms, she has served as a senior advisor to four of its chief executive officers and boards of directors. Ms. Finucane serves as a Director of The Advertising Council Inc. She serves as a Trustee of Stonehill College and Carnegie Hall Corporation. She has been an Independent Director at CVS Health Corporation from January 2011. Ms. Finucane serves as a Director of Partners HealthCare System, Inc. Active in the community, she serves on both corporate and nonprofit boards of directors including the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, the International Center of Journalists, the American Ireland Fund, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Special Olympics Board of Trustees. She rose from a City Hall aide to then-Mayor Kevin White to a senior position in the Boston ad agency Hill Holliday and ultimately to executive positions at Fleet and Bank of America. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Ms. Finucane has won numerous industry accolades, including the New York Women In Communications 2013 Matrix Award, which recognizes outstanding lifetime achievement in the communications industry.
