Biography
Mr. Aili Liu has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of China Telecom Corporation Limited (alternate name, China Telecommunications Corporation) since October 11, 2017 and its Executive Director since November 28, 2017. Mr. Liu served as Vice President of China Mobile Communications Corporation. Mr. Liu served as Vice President of China Mobile Limited from March 2006 to September 29, 2017. He is a professor-level senior engineer with over 24 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He served as Deputy Director General of Shandong Mobile Telecommunications Administration, Director General of Shandong Mobile Telecommunications Administration and General Manager of Shandong Mobile Communications Enterprises, Vice President of Shandong Mobile Communications Company, Director-General of Network Department of China Mobile Communications Corporation, Chairman and President of Shandong Mobile and Zhejiang Mobile. He served as Chairman and President of China Mobile Group Shandong Company Limited, Chairman and President of China Mobile Group Zhejiang Company Limited, Chairman of CMPak Limited in Pakistan. Mr. Liu served as a Deputy General Manager of China Mobile Limited since March 2006. He serves as Chairman of China Tower Corporation Limited. He serves as a Director at China Mobile Communication Company Limited. He serves as a Director of TeleManagement Forum. He has been a Director of China Mobile Communications Corporation since March 2006. He served as an Executive Director at China Mobile Limited since March 2006 until September 29, 2017. He served as a Non-Executive Director of China Communications Services Corporation Limited from October 12, 2006 to September 11, 2012. He is a visiting scholar at Harvard University and Yale University. He graduated from Heilongjiang Posts and Telecommunications School with an Associate Degree and completed a Post-Graduate Program in economics at Shandong University. Mr. Liu received a Master of Management degree from Norwegian School of Management BI and a doctoral degree in business administration from Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
