Biography

Mr. Roberto Irineu Marinho serves as the Chairman of Management Board at Globo Comunicação e Participações S.A. Mr. Marinho is the Founder of TV Globo Ltda. and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. He served as the Co-Chairman and Executive Vice President of Organizagoes Globo, the holding of Net Serviços de Comunicação since 1990. He started his career at the newspaper O Globo Newspaper in 1996, where he served in a variety of assignments culminating in his 96 appointment as the newspaper's Director. Since 1978, Mr. Marinho served as an Executive Vice President of Globo TV Network. He worked for the ABC Television Network in New York and served as its Vice President of TV Globo until 1998. He served as the Chairman at Net Serviços de Comunicação S.A. since February 22, 2000. He served as the Co-Chairman of Organizações Globo. He served as a Director at Globo Comunicação e Participações S.A. Mr. Marinho serves as Board Member of Editora Globo and J.P. Morgan for its worldwide operations. He serves as a Member of the boards of Amparo Agropecuária S.A., Centropec-Agropecuária do Centro-Oeste S.A., Editora Globo S.A. and Globo Agropecuária S.A. He received recognition and awards from numerous Brazilian business and civic organizations and public institutions. Mr. Marinho holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
